Yes, very happy, very impressed, especially because we didn't start in the right way. Cole [Palmer] injury, conceding after five minutes, but the reaction was very good.

The attacking play in particular...

When we attack in play generally, that must have really excited you, the fluidity. Yes, but you need balance, you need Caicedo, you need Enzo Fernandez, you need Trev, Tosin, Cucu, Malo. So the attacking players, they are important, but at the same time, also the defensive players.

How impressed were you with Estevao Willian?

We conceded the goal because of him, he lost the ball in the build-up, so he needs to make mistakes to learn. But overall, the performance was very good.

Was that a good thing as well that he reacted to that, he didn't let it get in his head?

Yes, that showed how good he is and the reason why he's here with us.

Five different goal scorers. Does that help get rid of the 'Cole Palmer FC' label?

You know already how I feel, that I don't care about... You are there to say things and people, in general, they are there to say something. The ones that they say that we are just a Cole team, for sure, Cole is our best player, no doubt. For sure, when we have Cole, we are a much, much, much better team.

But I think we already showed last year, in two or three months, where Cole, unfortunately for us, was not 100%. When we achieved top four, that no-one expected. And the most important thing, no-one asked me in the first season to finish top four in the Champions League. They asked me in two years in the Champions League.

What is the extent of the Palmer injury? And how pleased are you with the new signings performing well?

Cole in the last four or five days was not 100%. Today he tried the warm-up, but he felt something. So we prefer not to take any risk to get worse. And we'll see in the next hours if it's something important or not. And then, for sure, Joao Pedro, Liam, Estevao, Jamie Gittens will be good for sure. They are all fantastic players. You can see that probably Liam and Joao are a little bit more ahead of the rest. But the reason why is because they were already here in England.

Jamie needs to adapt a little bit, Estevao needs to adapt, Hato needs time to adapt. But overall, we are very happy with the road there.

What is the problem with Cole specifically?

Groin.

Did he pick that up in training?

The Palace game, he was not 100%. But he is trying to make a big effort for the club, for the team, for the fans. Tonight again he tried again, but it was not very good.

How do you think Joao Pedro and Delap playing together went?

The reason why is because I think that both of them can play together. We didn't play since we started with them. Both together was the first time. And I think that works quite well. We can do much, much better. But overall we are happy with that.

What you are most pleased about?

Probably the start was not the best in the way we planned. But the reaction from the press, but especially you can see how confident they are about the game plan. They stick to the game plan on the ball and off the ball. They continue in the same way. So this is something for me, very good.
