Leandro Trossard Arsenal transfer latest - Contract talks, Eberechi Eze impact, exit route

Arsenal have been busy in the summer transfer window - with Mikel Arteta adding to his squad ahead of the new Premier League season.

The Gunners could see a number of players make their competitive debuts in their impending opener against rivals Manchester United. Martin Zubimendi, Viktor Gyokeres, Noni Madueke, Cristhian Mosquera, Christian Norgaard and Kepa Arrizabalaga have completed moves to the Emirates Stadium.

There could yet be more incomings between now and the end of the window. But there's also talks about possible outgoings. One player who has been linked with a move away is winger, Leandro Trossard. With that in mind, here's a look at the latest on a potential exit for him;

Trossard injury concern

There was an injury concern over the player, ahead of the Premier League return on Sunday. Arsenal travel to take on Man Utd at Old Trafford in the 4.30pm kick-off.

Trossard missed some games during pre-season through a muscle problem, but Arteta has given a positive update on his availability.

"Yeah I think [Trossard is] much better," Arteta said. "I think he will be able to train again tomorrow and if that's the case, he will be fit."

Villa linked with transfer

Premier League side Aston Villa are showing an interest in Trossard this summer, according to Football Transfers, whose report says that there has been initial discussions between the two clubs last week.

It's added that Trossard himself has been informed of the approach - and that any decision over his future will be 'entirely up to the player'.

It's also claimed that Villa first made an approach back in January.

New contract dilemma

Arsenal have a dilemma over their player's future with Trossard, reportedly, stalling over a new contract offered by the club. The Mirror report that the Belgian has not yet signed due to wanting to keep his options open.

Arsenal are keen to add further to the wide options this summer, which is partly why Trossard is currently reluctant to commit his future to the club. His current deal is due to expire next year.

Eze to Tottenham impact

One of the wide players to be linked with a move to Arsenal is Crystal Palace Eberechi Eze. However, Tottenham are also said to be making a move for the Eagles' star. If Arsenal miss out on a move for Eze, they may opt to keep hold of Trossard this summer, whereas if the Gunners win the race for Eze, that could also possibly lead to a sale of Trossard, in turn.
