Ayushman Card Eligibility: The Indian government has launched several schemes to provide better and affordable healthcare to the people. The most popular of these is the Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana. Under this scheme, eligible families can receive free treatment up to ₹5 lakh per year. The scheme aims to ensure that no poor or needy person is deprived of treatment due to a lack of money.
However, many people still don't know whether they are eligible for this scheme. Previously, this required frequent visits to government offices. Now, the entire process is online. Now, you can find out whether your name is on the list for this scheme in just a few minutes from home. Let us explain the process.
You can check online like this:
You can easily check whether you're eligible for an Ayushman card using your mobile or laptop. First, visit the official Ayushman Bharat website, https://mera.pmjay.gov.in. You'll find the "Am I Eligible" option. Click on it, enter your mobile number, and then log in via OTP. Next, you'll need to enter your state, a family member's name, or your ration card number.
In a few seconds, the system will tell you whether your name is on the scheme list. If you're eligible, your name and the details of other eligible family members will appear on the screen. You can also apply for your card directly from there.
You can also check using these two methods:
If you don't have a smartphone or internet access, another easy way is to use the helpline number or a Common Service Center. The government has issued two helpline numbers for this purpose: 14555 and 1800-111-565. You can find out your eligibility by calling these numbers. You can use your Aadhaar number or ration card to find out if you're eligible for the scheme.
Also, if there's a CSC center or Ayushman Mitra near you, you can also get information by visiting them. They'll enter your details and immediately tell you whether your name is included in the list.
