At 55, comedian and podcaster Cyrus Broacha has caught everyone’s attention with his noticeably fitter and more toned appearance. I’m just a little more careful now. My shape is better, but my size… could be better.” During the lockdown, he took his passion seriously and set up a home gym. “I got myself a barbell, a squat rack, a bench, and 340 pounds (154 kilos) of weight.”
Currently, his workouts are focused on “power building,” which he describes as “a mix of both” bodybuilding and powerlifting. He also mentioned an unusual addition to his routine—“I’m doing a little backward walking to get the blood flow better.”

Whether at home or traveling, Broacha maintains his commitment to staying fit. He told actor Rohit Roy in another podcast episode, “I train everywhere I go. I find a gym somewhere. I do fast workouts. I don’t do cardio. I don’t walk.” His fitness approach is consistent, and he ensures that no matter where he is, his workouts are part of his daily life.
Balanced and Realistic Eating Habits
When it comes to diet, Broacha avoids extremes. “I don’t eat 7-7. I work out fasted, but eat immediately (after),” he told Roy. He prefers consuming most of his calories earlier in the day and avoids carbohydrates. “As I start, I finish two protein shakes. My eggs start going in. Reality is that you can’t go so extreme (with diets),” he explained.
Speaking with Bani J, he added, “I eat well in the first half of the day. I eat eggs. Avoid carbs.” Broacha also shared that he doesn’t obsess over calorie counting or tracking macros, instead opting for a practical and flexible approach to nutrition.
