BBC Gladiators star Bradley Walsh abruptly stopped the live show as one star made a sudden rule change - that has never been done before.
During the final, which aired on Saturday (12th April) night, the final four contenders, Joe Fishburn, Mus Dumbuya, Amanda Wah and Aneila Afsar entered the arena one last time to see who would walk away Gladiators champion of the second series.
However just moments before Mus was set to take on The Wall challenge, Gladiator Legend suddenly walked on stage and demanded a rule change, forcing Bradley to halt the show.

The game sees the contestants given a head start against the Gladiators as they try to make it to the top of a rock climbing wall first, however, Legend suggested that they should switch things up and turn it into a race.

As Legend walked onto the stage unannounced, Bradley shouted: “Hold on. One second everybody. Where is Legend going?”
Bradley's son and co-presenter Barney jumped in and asked: “Legend, what are you doing?” Legend looked unimpressed as he explained: “Twice now I’ve had Mus on The Wall and twice I’ve had to watch his smug face celebrating at the top after being given a massive head start.”
The star then suggested: “If Mus is so fast on The Wall, why not remove the head start and go one on one and have a race. Who wants to see that?”
Barney replied: “We’re going to have to ask our official, Mark Clattenburg.” Mark was on board with the rule change as he revealed: “It’s a grand final so I’m happy to accept it as a race. Mus, Joe, if you beat the Gladiator to the top I’ll award ten points.”
Both Mus and Joe accepted the challenge to which Barney admitted: “Well this has never been done before but it sounds exciting. I guess we’re going for it. It’s a race.”
The change seemed to work out for Legend as he managed to beat Mus in the race, however it wasn’t the same result for co-star Apollo as contender Joe managed to beat him to the top.
It didn’t take long for fans to rush straight to social media to share their reaction as some seemed to like the change.
One viewer wrote on X, formerly known as : “The Wall: The Race Can we see this is future episodes please #Gladiators.”
Another wrote: “The Wall: The Race There's a first time for everything #Gladiators.” A third commented: “Oh wow this is new for the wall to change it to a race and i like it #Gladiators.”
Meanwhile one added: “The rules have changed. Gladiator Vs contender in a straight race. #Gladiators. Come on, Mus, come on Joe."
