Coronation Street'sVicky Myers has issued an apology to fans after being forced to pull out of a major first for the soap, with her 'glorious' co-star stepping in to replace her.
The actress, who is adored for her role as DS Lisa Swain on the ITV soap, was set to be part of the cast for the upcoming An Audience with Coronation Street tour.
Earlier this year, it was announced that fans could get up close and personal with some of Corrie's biggest stars as they embarked on their own theatre show. Billed as an "unforgettable night on the cobbles", the new tour features guest appearances from Corrie favourites Simon Gregson, Jack P Shepherd and Patti Clare, sparking massive excitement among soap enthusiasts.

Hosted by This Morning's soap guru, Sharon Marshall, An Audience with Coronation Street will include interviews with famous faces from the show, touring various locations across the UK in September, reports the Manchester Evening News.
However, Vicky, who was scheduled to appear at the Glasgow show on September 24, has confirmed that due to changes in filming schedules, she can no longer attend.
On Thursday, the soap star took to Instagram to share her disappointment, writing on her Story: "I'm so, so, sorry to miss the Glasgow show for An Audience with Coronation Street on 24th September. Due to unavoidable last-minute schedule changes, I won't be able to be there.
"Every possible scheduling option was explored, however it was just not possible I'm afraid. This was completely out of my control."
She continued: "In my place, I am delighted that the legend and utterly gorgeous 'Sunshine Sue Devaney' will be joining the line-up instead - she is going to be amazing - she IS amazing!"
Vicky then concluded: "I know it'll be an incredible evening celebrating 65 years of Corrie magic. I'll be there in spirit. Sorry, Vicky. "
A statement confirming the news was also posted on Corrie's official Instagram page. It read: "As we head towards the exciting An Audience With Coronation Street tour, we are sharing the news that due to an unavoidable and complicated change in her filming schedule, Vicky is no longer able to join the Glasgow show on September 24th.
"Due to unavoidable last-minute schedule changes, I won't be able to be there. Every possible scheduling option was explored, however it was just not possible i'm afraid. This was completely out of my control."
Sue Devaney will now step on stage in the place. Vicky is very sad that she's unable to be there. Please note it's important to understand that she had no prior knowledge or influence on her schedule."
