A woman explained how she recently did something that came naturally to her on a , and was left mortified at a cabin crew member's . Lucie Fink shared a short clip of her on a plane of an unnamed airline, sitting in her seat, drinking a hot beverage and looking anxiously up and around her. She looked really uncomfortable, and it was because of the she claimed had ensued before she filmed the clip.
She captioned the : "I'm DONE. I’m one of those people for whom touch just comes naturally. A hand on the arm, a quick shoulder squeeze—it's how I show warmth and connection.
"But I'm learning not everyone likes that." So, what had happened previously to make her so horrified?

Lucie shared what went on over the video. She wrote: "The flight attendant passed my seat with the drinks cart, and I thought she skipped our row.
"So I touched her arm gently and said 'Sorry, when you get a chance, can I trouble you—'."
However, Lucie didn't get to say what she was about to, because the cabin crew member allegedly 'cut her off' and said back to her 'loudly': "Do not touch the flight attendants."
Of course, there was no malice in Lucie's; she just wanted to gently get the flight attendant's attention, but she was left mortified by the blunt interaction.
Looking back, Lucie said that maybe she "shouldn't have tapped her," but she said that because of this interaction, her "entire week is ruined."
She said that she was 'spiralling.' adding that interactions like this 'haunt' her 'for years' and claiming that she'd 'never recover' because she'd just keep playing the situation over and over in her head.
She did share, however, that the "comments on this were so validating and like a much-needed therapy session" for her.
A member of cabin crew commented saying that she doesn't like it when customers "poke or prod," but a gentle tap is fine. She reassured her that she could stop thinking about it, saying "enjoy your drink, kick back, and relax," rather than worrying.
Another cabin crew member shared: "I hateee when passengers touch me, but to make them feel bad about it, almost like they were contagious? Lol, that's kinda mean."
A plane passenger fumed that they'd been hit by the drinks trolley before, saying: "So when they touch you with the drink cart, should we freak out saying don’t touch me? Push that cart better."
Someone responded: "Or don’t have your feet and arms hanging out in the aisle?" "If they’re hitting you with the cart, then your body is where it doesn’t belong," somebody else added.
Some people did say that she shouldn't have touched the flight attendant, however, saying that she should've rang the "call light" or said "excuse me". "Do you touch a waitress in a restaurant?" they fumed.
