"Things like this just don't happen to people like me, I never anything. The best thing I've ever won before this was a doll when I was nine years old - this definitely tops that and was worth waiting 70 years for!"
The stunning property that is now in Patricia's possession, is located on the shores of Loch Rannoch in Perthshire and boasts 4 bedrooms and wowed the entire family as they entered the property for the first time through grand double doors. "Oh wow! Look at the size of it - oh my gosh! I really can't believe it's mine," exclaimed the excited gran. Asked by an Omaze host if the news had sunk in yet she laughed and said: "No, of course it hasn't but I'm sure it will when I look around."

It's not the extensive grounds, the elaborate tennis court or the plush interior designs that have Patricia stumped though, it's something else far closer to home.
"It changes our lives. I can make a big difference to the family. Instead of uncertainty about the future, it means that their future is secure. It means everything to me."

The selfless widow, who once shed five stone in order to give her late husband, David, of 55 years one of her kidneys for a lifesaving operation, said her husband will be "smiling down on the family" after she scooped the home and the massive cash prize.
David's operation was a success but he sadly passed away from prostrate cancer in 2019. And it seems that Patricia isn't the only one celebrating her big win north of the borders with Scottish actor and Alzheimer's Research UK supporter Brain Cox also backing the latest Omaze draw.

By entering the draw, entrants support the charity to help build a free from the fear, harm and heartbreak of dementia. Patricia added: "You get the opportunity to win something but never in a million years do you imagine you could win! I'm the proof of that - and also giving to charity t the same time. It's a win on both sides."

Gazing out over her new extensive views of the sparkling Scottish loch, Patricia summed up her win: "It's just heavenly. It really is heaven on earth." The newest Omaze competition will land the winner a London Townhouse worth over £4.5 million, alongside a quarter of a million in cash. It closes on April 27.
