Netflix has just unveiled an exciting glimpse of the forthcoming murder mystery film The Thursday Murder Club, set to premiere later this month.
The film, based on Richard Osman's bestselling novel, marks the first cinematic adaptation of the popular series and is slated for release on Friday, 28th August.
British cinema icons Helen Mirren, Ben Kingsley, Pierce Brosnan and Celia Imrie star as a group of retirees who have formed their own amateur detective club.
When a genuine crime scene shakes their community, the aspiring detectives spring into action to uncover the truth behind a mysterious murder.
Helmed by Harry Potter director Chris Columbus and penned by Katy Brand and Suzanne Heathcote, The Thursday Murder Club is tipped to be one of Netflix's biggest hits of the year, reports the Express.

The trailer kicks off with retired spy Elizabeth Best (Mirren) welcoming former nurse Joyce Meadowcroft (Imrie) into the club by showing her a photo of an old case.
When a real murder seems to have occurred in their village, Elizabeth, Joyce, retired union leader Ron Ritchie (Brosnan) and retired doctor Ibrahim Arif (Kingsley) begin their investigation.
In addition to the main foursome, the trailer offers fans their first comprehensive look at the supporting cast, including Naomi Ackie as police officer Donna De Freitas who finds herself drawn into assisting the club's investigation.
The cosy crime thriller also boasts a stellar British cast featuring several well-known faces, including David Tennant, Jonathan Pryce, Daniel Mays and Richard E Grant.
The trailer ends with a chilling threat from Elizabeth, who warns an unknown character: "If any harm comes to my friends, I will personally be laying a dozen blood red roses on your coffin."
Director Columbus praised Netflix about his experience making the film: "This is the finest cast I've worked with since Potter.
"They're just so incredibly well-prepared, and it's because they do everything.
"They do theatre, they do television, they do film, and they've developed those sorts of muscles."
Writer Osman has already crafted five novels in the series, with the fifth instalment, The Impossible Fortune, scheduled for publication later this year.
It's yet to be confirmed whether Netflix intends to bring the remaining comedy-crime stories to screen.
