Netflix has released a gripping new trailer for the upcoming thriller from the minds behind Money Heist (known as La Casa de Papel in Spanish).
After watching the teaser for the show, which has a unique premise, Netflix fans have already been calling it the streaming giant’s ‘next global hit’ now that Squid Game has concluded.
Entitled Billionaire’s Bunker, the Spanish original series sees “a group of billionaires forced to coexist after locking themselves in a luxury bunker due to the threat of an unprecedented global conflict”.

The official synopsis for Billionaire’s Bunker reads: “Imagine that World War III is about to break out and a group of billionaires takes refuge in a luxury bunker: Kimera Underground Park.

“Through screens, they’ll watch the bewildering spectacle of the world they knew collapsing above their heads.
“As the situation outside becomes increasingly terrifying, they’ll enjoy an underground city with basketball court, restaurant, zen garden, cocktail bar, psychologist’s couch, gym and spa.
“Their ancient privilege will be reduced to a life adapted to a luxurious hole, an underground universe full of enigmas where a wound from the past will explode between two conflicting families.”
The show from Esther Martínez Lobato and Money Heist’s Álex Pina is set to drop on Netflix later this month.
It is co-directed by David Barrocal and Jesús Colmenar, who also worked on Money Heist, as well as J.M. Cravioto.
Taking to X, the social media platform formerly known as Twitter, fans shared their excited reactions to the new Billionaire’s Bunker trailer.
“As Money Heist was one of my favorite, definitely gonna watch it,” one wrote, as another agreed: “La Casa de Papel creators don’t miss. This one’s about to be another global hit.”

“That sounds exciting I can already feel the drama coming,” a third commented, as another simply put: “This could bang.”
One more added: “This series sounds intense! Excited to see how these billionaires handle life in the bunker and what twists the story will bring.”
The synopsis for the Spanish creators’ previous Netflix show Money Heist reads: “Eight thieves take hostages and lock themselves in the Royal Mint of Spain as a criminal mastermind manipulates the police to carry out his plan.”
The series currently has a 94% rating on Rotten Tomatoes, with its first season achieving a rare 100% fresh score.
The New Statesman said: “It's utterly ridiculous. And we couldn't stop watching.”
While Globe and Mail wrote: “It's a heist-centric multipart drama that upends most cliches of heist movies and celebrates others.”
Fans have also described it as “one of the best heist shows ever” and “an absolutely amazing series that takes you through an emotional roller-coaster”.
Billionaire’s Bunker premieres on September 19, exclusively on Netflix.
