Former star confessed he feels like 'he's been shot' as he continued his journey to Old Trafford ahead of the Soccer Aid kick-off on 15 June. The radio star is on a five-day challenge, running and biking through Milton Keynes, Rugby and Solihull to reach the finish line over 260 miles.
While on his for UNICEF, he suffered a calf strain and had to use a bicycle after receiving advice from a medical team. Ahead of Day Three of his mission, he spoke to Hits Radio Breakfast Show's team, including Fleur East, and James Barr, about how his journey has been going so far.

"On the first day I did the first marathon and on the last 2k I felt like I'd been shot in the back of the leg and I've completely torn the calf muscle but it's fine I'm strapped up!" he revealed of his injury.
After finishing his gruelling day two, Sam said the toughest parts of the day were the weather conditions.
"We were absolutely drenched, and my back was aching, but having Chris there kept me going," he said.
"I can cope with the bad conditions and the aches and pains, but my leg keeps letting me down. I was told at the last pitstop I could try and run the last few kilometres to test my leg and my recovery, so I cycled out the pitstop determined to make it as far as I could towards the stadium and tried to run into Villa Park.
“If I have to get up at 4am every morning for the rest of the week to complete this, I will. I’m going to make it to Manchester by Friday. I am so grateful to everyone that has supported me already and donated – that’s the one thing keeping going.”
His best pal shared his support for the . Sam burst into tears upon seeing his close pal.
Seen covered in sweat, limping, with his knee bandaged up, Sam can't control his emotions as he clocks Pete, 36, who rushes over to give his friend a huge hug.
Visibly stunned, the winner cried and spluttered: "Thank you so much for coming," Pete said: "Don't be silly. As if I was never not going to come. I'm so proud of you. You're smashing it!"
Sam conceded: "I'm not smashing it" to which Pete insisted "You are smashing it! Are you still going? Well then you're smashing it."
However, heartbreakingly, Sam then said: "I'm not the guy, man." Hugging his friend even tighter, Pete said: "You are the guy. You were the guy before this started and you're the guy now."
