With the energy price cap in the UK set to rise from this month onwards, it comes as no surprise that shoppers are looking for ways to keep heat in and bills lower. Dunelm, which is known for providing high quality home items, now has a solution with their curtains and one pair in particular has garenered a number of high five star reviews.
The Jennings Thermal Eyelet Curtainsare now available from between £38.50 and £145 - depending on size which ranges from 45" x 54" up to 112" x 90". They also come in 13 colours: ashley blue, black, blush, charcoal, coral, grey, magenta, natural, navy, ochre, olive, seafoam and thistle, meaning there is choice for everyone depending on preferences.
Made from modern matt fabric, the curtains are designed with a thermal coating to help keep homes insulated and prevent the winter chill coming through as the months get colder. They are also suitable for the warmer months as they block out external heat and sunlight when pulled shut.

The actual design of the curtains are stylish and classic as they are fully lined and feature an eyelet header at the top. Whether it's for style or to keep costs low, these curtains are a versatile but staple option for homes.
The Range also has a selection of options on their website for shoppers. For example the Plain Blackout Thermal Eyelet Curtains for £16.99 that come in several colours, comes with two curtain panels and are energy efficient for maximum insulation to keep heat in and light out. Argos also has the Habitat Plain Blackout Eyelet Curtains - Charcoal from £15 on their website which offer 'fully lined blackout curtains' and are made from 100% polyester.
The Dunelm curtains have got a high 4.6 out of 5 star rating from over 1,000 reviews on their website however. One person said: "Excellent value for money, great quality and easy to install. These well finished curtains complete my newly decorated room exceptionally well. The price was fair and fitted the windows precisely. They were very easy to put up and fitted in minimum time and effort. I would recommend these curtains for anyone wanting to improve their home with a quality product at a minimum cost to themselves." Another said: "Brilliant curtains, do just what they day on the tin - keeps the sunshine and heat out!"
A third person said: "I have bought several pairs of these curtains, for different rooms in my house. They look really good and keep the heat out in the summer and the warmth in in the winter." Not everyone agreed however as one person said: "Lovely looking , nice soft textured finish. You can feel the difference in the heat retained since they have been up. Lining is a bit short on one curtain approximately 3cms less than the other. Folded up too tight and not with minimising creases in mind. The have been hanging for a week and still need steaming or ironing as creases have not fallen out. Recommended but get your iron ready." Another wrote: "Really lovely thick curtains, you can definitely tell that they keep the heat in! Only minor issue is that the creases are hard to get out! A garment steamer helped though!"
