Harry Maguire could join a Saudi Pro League club when his Manchester United deal expires at the end of the season. The veteran defender has just entered the final year of his contract at Old Trafford and is yet to be offered fresh terms. His original deal ran out earlier this year, but United took an option to extend it by a further season.
Maguire has not started a Premier League match this campaign, having only played a total of 13 minutes in United's opening three fixtures. He was an unused substitute as the Red Devils came from behind to beat Burnley before the international break. Maguire was handed a rare start in the Carabao Cup defeat to Grimsby Town last week.
His long-term future at United is yet to be determined, with clubs in Saudi Arabia thought to be circling over a possible free transfer. This would reportedly appeal to Maguire, with The Sun reporting that he would 'consider' a move to the Gulf state.
The transfer window in Saudi Arabia will stay open for another couple of weeks, leading to the possibility of an imminent transfer. However, it is claimed that Maguire is committed to seeing out the remainder of his United contract.
He will be free to discuss a pre-contract agreement with foreign clubs from January but has already hinted that he would prefer to stay at Old Trafford.

Speaking last month, Maguire said: "We're in a good place, positive as a club and I feel like the hierarchy has come in and Jason [Wilcox] and the manager, I feel like they're taking it in the right direction.
"I think it's been, since I started six years ago to where it is now, it's in a completely different place in terms of the structure behind the management staff.
"Last year, the [contract] clause was in their hands so there was no option for me there. There was no talking, it was just they activated it and it got extended. This year, obviously I'm up at the end of the year.
"I'm sure over the next few months they'll sit down and we'll have to have a conversation about where we want to go and if they want to extend or obviously the transfer window will open again in January.
"I have something in my mind about what I want to do and what I want to be. I don't want to put it out there to everybody but it's an amazing club to play for and you'd be silly if you wanted to jump out of it as soon as you could."
Maguire will make his 250th appearance for United if he plays in the Manchester derby after the international break. He has been on their books since 2019, when he joined from Leicester City in a deal worth around £80million.
