A supporter who recently overcame cancer was one of the 27 victims hospitalised during the title parade.
David Price, 44, from Pembrokeshire, Wales, was knocked unconscious but avoided serious injuries after jumping as he made contact with the bumper of the vehicle.
He was helped away by his friends and fellow fans at the scene.
Price was released from the hospital in the early hours of Tuesday morning after being treated for a head wound and heavy bruising to his body and has moved to thank the emergency services and Liverpool supporters.
"We thought a fight had broken out, so we actually changed the direction we were walking in," Price told Express Sport.
"Then the car started coming towards us. People were trying to move out of the way, but it was swerving about and accelerating.
"We (Price and his friends) couldn't be more grateful to the medical staff who treated us. Despite what was happening, local people were courageous at the scene, pulling people out of the way and carrying others away to safety," Price added.
"The most important thing for me is to say thank you to them. It's still hard to believe what's happened. But the way people were selflessly helping each other during it all is something that will stay with me."
Price only started travelling to Anfield again last season after bravely overcoming cancer.
He made the five-hour trip to watch 's final game of the season against Crystal Palace on Sunday, and stayed the night in Merseyside in order to attend the parade.
Price was with two close friends from home as he made his way towards Water Street.
The trio first became aware of a problem when Price spotted a chair seemingly being thrown into the air.
At that point, they were unable to see the car involved due to the number of people between themselves and the vehicle.
He's since returned home to continue his recovery.
