Meghan Markle reportedly once begged Prince Harry to leave a royal event as she was "bored", a royal commentator once claimed. In her book "Meghan and Harry: The Real Story", royal commentator Lady Colin Campbell claimed that Meghan, 43, said she was bored at a garden party in 2018 held to mark the-then Prince Charles's 70th birthday.
According to Lady Colin, Meghan wanted to leave the party after just 15 minutes of being there. She wrote: "Fifteen minutes into the event, she turned to Harry and said, 'Harry, this is really boring. Let's leave.' To his credit, he informed her that they would have to stay. 'But Harry,' she said, 'this is so boring. We've done our bit. Everyone knows we've been here. Let's go.'"
Lady Colin continued: "Harry asserted that they had to stay, and they moved on."
While this is what the royal commentator claimed, others believe this was not the case for the couple, who were working royals at the time, leaving the event sooner than expected.
Instead,a lip reader told MailOnline that a Palace staff member explained to Harry that he had been "called for" by his father, who said to the duke: "We are going now, We have to leave."
According to the lipreader, Harry then said: "You go ahead".

Charles, now 76, reportedly replied: "We will go now, see you later", to which Harry said in response: "Yes, catch up after."
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have never commented on the rumours that the duchess wanted to leave early, or the claims that she said she was "bored".
Instead, the couple seemed to have had a good time at the event, as shown in photographs taken at the time, with King Charles and Queen Camilla also seeming happy at the party.
The event took place just less than two years before Harry and Meghan quit royal duty.
