Meghan Markle's popularity in the UK has dropped even further despite her latest attempts to reinvigorate her image, a new poll has revealed. The Duchess of Sussex's popularity has plummeted since she quit the Royal Family alongside her husband, Prince Harry, in 2020.
Harry and Meghan now consistently rank among the least favourite royals, above Prince Andrew, who is the most disliked member of the Royal Family. In a new poll by Ipsos, Meghan's net favourability by the British public was the lowest among five other members of the Royal Family - King Charles, Queen Camilla, Prince William, Princess Kate and Prince Harry.
According to the market research company, which polled 1,036 adults between October 20-21, the Duchess's net favourability dropped to a minus 39 as less than two in 10 Brits (17%) said they held a favourable view of her.
Meanwhile, nearly six in 10 (56%) said they have a negative opinion of her, which brought her net favourability to a minus 39%. A 25% said they neither have a positive or negative opinion, while a 3% answered "I don't know".
Meanwhile, her husband scored better, gaining a minus 16% favourability score.
Three in 10 (28%) said they held a favourable view of Prince Harry, while around 4 in 10 (44%) said they held a negative view.
A 27% said they do not held a particular view, while 2% answered "I don't know".
The most popular member of the royals was Prince William, who gathered a plus 58 score, as seven in 10 Brits said they like him and only one tenth (11%) said they don't.
It comes as the Duchess of Sussex has been out and about promoting her philanthropic work and championing mental health around the US recently, in what is seen as a renewed strategy for the Sussexes as they seek to find a path to reconciliation with the royals.
