
Sky News halted their live coverage to announce British boxer Ricky Hatton has sadly died at the age of 46. Journalist Kamali Melbourne was currently discussing Labour's Lord Mandelson fiasco when they cut away to deliever the shocking news. Kamali was forced to apologise to a commentator, as he said, "Sorry, Luke. I have to cut away. We have got some breaking news to bring our viewers."
He continued: "We have just received breaking news that Ricky Hatton has died. He was 46. Greater Manchester Police have released a statement saying: 'Officers were called by a member of the public to attend to a property in Hyde at 6.45am today where they found the body of a 46-year-old man. There are currently said to be no suspicious circumstances.'"

The Sky News presenter: "That news confirmed by Greater Manchester Police. Ricky, who was known as 'The Hitman' has died at the age of 46. Ricky Hatton was born in 1978 in Stockport.
"He was a world champion back in 2005 and he was inducted into the Boxing World Hall of Fame in 2024.
"He was fighter of the year in 2005. Many people remember 'The Hitman' and his great fights in Las Vegas against Floyd Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao. Fights he lost but fights that took the man from Stockport to the world."
Hatton was due to return to ring in December in Dubai after 13 years following his last fight in 2012 where at that point he decided to retire.
Tributes have begun to pour in from across the sporting world.
Piers Morgan wrote: "RIP Ricky 'The Hitman' Hatton, 46. Found dead at his home in Manchester, police say no suspicious circumstances. What incredibly sad news." While former England footballer Michael Owen said: "RIP Ricky Hatton. What a guy. And what a fighter. Incredibly sad news."
Chris Eubank Jr wrote, "Rest in Peace Mr Ricky Hatton. We salute you", while Turki Al-Sheikh, one of the sport's most high-profile promoters, said: "I am saddened by the tragic news of Ricky Hatton's passing at the young age of 46. He was a great fighter and a legend in British boxing."
