Thomas Frank has confirmed one player will be absent from Tottenham's squad for Saturday's Premier League curtain-raiser against Burnley.
Several stars remain on the treatment table, with James Maddison, Dejan Kulusevski and Radu Dragusin all on the long-term casualty list, but Frank will be without another key figure for the season opener at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
Destiny Udogie continues to battle a knee problem, having been forced to miss the club's pre-season tour of Asia.
The defender was initially named in the squad to take on Luton Town during pre-season but was withdrawn from the team sheet after sustaining an injury during the warm-up.
The Italian remains unfit for the commencement of the Premier League campaign.
During his pre-match press conference, Frank revealed: "Every player who was available is available for the team. Destiny is progressing but it's too early for him to be involved in the squad."
Tottenham head into their Premier League opener having already featured in competitive action, following their UEFA Super Cup final clash with Paris Saint-Germain on Wednesday evening.

Spurs delivered a determined display against the Champions League victors and came agonisingly close to securing silverware, before two late strikes forced the match into a penalty shootout, which PSG claimed 4-3.
It proved a gruelling encounter and Frank has addressed the potential for squad rotation following that demanding fixture.
He further commented: "Of course there were physical demands in every area, in particular the heat was high. The players are very professional and they've recovered well.
"I can freshen up, whether that is from the start or during the game. I'm a big believer that it's the third game more than the second one that's important in that respect."
