A woman ordered fish and chips while she was on and she was left gobsmacked by the price of it. Suzanna, who's a vlogger, talked about the meal online, and she couldn't get over the cost. The content creator, who goes by the name suzannatravelsolo on , said she enjoyed the meal in her "favourite" place while she was on holiday in , and she even had a bottle of Prosecco sent up to the hotel room on arrival before she ventured off. She then went on to take viewers to one of her favourite spots to eat in the location called The Lantern Room Restaurant.

She headed there with a friend, and she admitted it's her "favourite" English restaurant in the area. Suzanna explained you'll find it on a side street in Luxor, and it's somewhere she likes to visit on her travels.

In the video, she gave people a glimpse of the menu, and said the starters come in at around £2 each. She admitted she normally goes for the garlic mushrooms.

There are lots of classic dishes on the menu when it comes to main courses, but Suzanna opted for the fish, chips and mushy peas. According to her, it was a "beautiful" meal.

After her dinner, Suzanna then had a cup of tea, and the whole meal came to £8 each. She described it as "unbelievable value for money."

Another added: "Small restaurant, very friendly. Very friendly staff. And above all we eat very well... the Shish Tawook is excellent, as well as the lentil soup. The other dishes are just as tasty. All for a very reasonable price."

A third replied: "This is a great little restaurant offering European and Egyptian food. They also do a good British Sunday roast, highly recommended, but best to book. I recommended it to guests staying at my hotel, and they were so impressed they went back three times during their stay - says it all really."

Meanwhile, a fourth also commented: "As always a welcoming ambience. The decor has changed the last few years which is really lovely. My family and I have been coming here over 20 years.

"Tonight I had fish and chips - a small portion, which was amazing. Just right to then have apple crumble and ice cream. Again the food is top notch. The place and staff couldn't be nicer. The prices are very good. For sure the best place in Luxor. Cannot wait to come back again."
