Jhunjhunu: A woman, identified as Santosh Devi, was killed and five others injured during a clash between two groups over land dispute at Syalu Khurd village under Surajgarh police station in Jhunjhunu Tuesday. Police said Commander Mahendra Singh Bhalothia from the Navy, who was on leave, had a dispute with his own brother, Nihal Singh Bhalothia, over land.
Nihal called Sajjan Kulhar from Bishanpura to sell his share of land Monday. As soon as Kulhar arrived, Mahendra, his brother Dataram, and son Pawan approached Kulhar and started arguing. Seeing the fight, Kulhar and his companion left the scene. However, a brawl broke out between Mahendra and Nihal Singh's families, police said.
Police said during the altercation, Nihal's wife, Santosh Devi, was injured, causing her to fall unconscious. She was taken home by neighbours and family members, but her condition worsened and she passed away. TNN
