Nagpur: The 13th convocation ceremony of Kavikulguru Kalidas Sanskrit University (KKSU) will be held at 11 am on April 16 at the university campus. More than 7,000 degrees, 50 gold medals, and 97 certificates will be awarded during the event.
Maharashtra governor CP Radhakrishnan will preside over the convocation. Vice chancellor Hareram Tripathi, State higher and technical education minister Chandrakant Patil, and controller of examinations Keshav Mohrir will remain present.
A total of 2,756 postgraduate, 4,228 undergraduate, 1,367 diploma, and 109 postgraduate diploma degrees will be conferred, along with 97 certificates and 278 postgraduate degrees to students of distance/open learning mode. Additionally, 14 cash prizes will be distributed.
Simran Thakur has emerged as the university topper, securing the highest marks and winning nine gold medals along with a cash award. Kalyani Hale has been conferred the Best Thesis Award.
Students from over 35 disciplines—including Sanskrit, Vedas, Yoga, Dance, Hospitality, and Education—will be honoured with medals and accolades.
