Rajasthan BSTC Pre D.EL.ED 2025: In an unprecedented response, the Rajasthan BSTC Pre D.EL.ED 2025 examination has seen a record-breaking number of applications. As per official figures, around 5 lakh candidates have registered for the exam, out of which approximately 3.5 lakh are women, marking a significant 70 percent share of total applicants. This highlights the growing enthusiasm among women towards a career in elementary education.

In light of this overwhelming interest, Vardhman Mahaveer Open University (VMO University), Kota, has announced an extension of the last date for submission of online applications. Candidates can now apply until April 16, 2025, through the official website predeledraj2025.in. The earlier deadline was April 11, 2025. A correction window will be available on April 17, 2025, with a correction fee of Rs 100 applicable.

Exam to be held a month earlier
In a significant shift from previous years, the Pre D.EL.ED 2025 exam will now be conducted on June 1, 2025. The decision to advance the examination by nearly a month aims to streamline the admission process, allowing the session to commence in July itself. The result of the exam is also expected to be released in the month of June.

This exam is held for admission to the two-year Diploma in Elementary Education (D.EL.ED) course, which is mandatory for aspiring teachers seeking recruitment at the primary level (Level One, Grade III). Admission will be offered to nearly 26,000 seats across more than 376 D.EL.ED colleges in Rajasthan.

Eligibility criteria and age limit

Candidates from the general category must have secured at least 50 percent marks in their Class 12 examinations to be eligible. For candidates belonging to reserved categories such as SC, ST, OBC, and Divyang, a minimum of 45 percent is required.

The maximum permissible age for applicants is 28 years as of June 1, 2025. However, candidates from Scheduled Tribes, Other Backward Classes, Extremely Backward Classes, Economically Weaker Sections, and women are entitled to age relaxation as per the norms laid down by the Rajasthan State Government.

Application fee and counselling process

The application fee for candidates applying for either D.EL.ED General or Sanskrit stream is Rs 450. Those opting for both streams will need to pay Rs 500. Applicants from outside Rajasthan are eligible for admission under the general category, but only up to a maximum of 5 percent of the total intake capacity, based on merit.

Admission to institutions will be carried out through a counselling process. Candidates will be allotted institutes based on the preferences filled during BSTC counselling and their performance in the written examination. The written exam will consist of multiple-choice questions (MCQs).
