Aimee Lou Wood, ‘The White Lotus’ star, criticised the skit on ‘Saturday Night Live’ that mocked her teeth, suggesting that it was misogynistic. Many celebrities from the industry backed the actress after she called the prosthetic teeth as ‘mean and unfunny.’

What happened in the skit? The skit was a parody of the famous series, where they imagined US President Donald J. Trump and his allies spending time at the hotel after escaping Washington, DC due to the rise in USA tariffs, calling the dramatic exaggeration as ‘The White Lotus.’ The 31-year-old actress stated that while everybody in the script was punched up, she was punched down. Additionally, she made a series of Instagram stories addressing her issue and viewpoints. While ‘SNL’ has apologized to her, they haven’t made any public statements.

Cara Delevingne stated...Cara Delevingne, the ‘Only Murders In a Building’ actress, posted an Instagram story, “@aimeelouwood YOU ARE STUNNING PERIOD,” affirming the actress.

While Wood mentioned that she is not thin-skinned about her teeth, she felt the mocking was in a bad taste.

Jagger and Jamil stated...Reposting Cara’s story, Georgia May Jagger stated, “Agreed! @aimeelouwood is gorgeous.”

Jameela Jamil, ‘The Good Place’ actress, posted an article about SNL’s skit and defended Wood by stating, “I hate this so much. It’s the least interesting or memorable thing about this brilliant actor. Our next Olivia Coleman. Hilarious, deep, vulnerable, and relentlessly lovable.” “We make fun of the assimilation of women, and then mercilessly obsess over anyone with any slightly alternative features from whatever bulls–t AI standard we have allowed, as women, to take hold of this world,” she added.

Jamil posted another story on social media and said, “I also think she’s so f–king beautiful and love her face so much and wouldn’t want her to look any different,” according to Just Jared.

In a landscape where standards of beauty are often rigidly defined, the support for Aimee Lou Wood highlights the importance of embracing individuality and recognizing the damaging effects of body shaming in the entertainment industry.
