Unlike human wars where defeating an enemy guarantees you a victory that can seldom be challenged again, wars with disease differ completely. Battling a disease and defeating it requires a strength that has to be so constant that it takes a toll on you and even when you succeed there is no guarantee that the battle has ended for good.

DJ Daniel , also known as Devarjaye, is a 13-year-old cancer survivor teen who recently went viral when the Trump administration appointed him as an honorary Secret Service agent . “DJ, we’re going to do you the biggest honour of them all. I am asking our new Secret Service Director, Sean Curran, to officially make you an agent of the United States Secret Service ,” declared Trump in a March 4 speech to Congress.

However, according to new reports, the teen is now facing three new tumours . “We’re lifting up Agent DJ Daniel in prayer after his dad, Theodis, shared that DJ is now facing three new tumours,” the White House said. “DJ is one of the strongest, bravest young men—and has now been sworn into 1,351 law enforcement agencies across the country. Agent Daniel , you are a true legend.”

In 2018, Daniel was diagnosed with brain cancer and given just five months to live. Growing up he saw his father serve in the military and interact with people in uniform. These moments made such a strong impression on him that by the age of 9, he had developed a deep respect for law enforcement and decided he wanted to follow in the footsteps of his father and wear the uniform himself one day. Thus to honour his life-long dream he was sworn in as an honorary secret service member by Trump himself.

Speaking to Fox 7 Austin, Daniel's father Theodis Daniel , revealed that his son had "three new tumours" and that they were "winging it day by day".

“It’s rough, there isn’t a class that can teach you how to deal with it. You’re hearing that your child has a nasty disease,” he added. He also shared that DJ's journey is more about just illness, it's about spreading kindness and unity.

Over the past six years, Daniel has been visiting law enforcement agencies across the country, earning honorary recognition from multiple police departments that welcome him as one of their own.

For making his dream come true, Daniel remains thankful to Trump. His father told the news outlet he says "coming after you" if he sees anyone being "mean to President Trump"
