Season 2: Hellfire Gala is underway in Marvel Rivals . With loads of new content, this update is making a huge buzz in the community already. Besides bringing necessary nerfs and buffs, this brand new patch has also introduced a new Vanguard in the roster, Emma Frost. Not only that, players will be getting a new skin for free for The Thing in the Twitch Drop event as well.
That’s not the end. A mid season update known as Season 2.5 is also in the works as well, which will be featuring one of the most formidable villains in the MCU in the game, Ultron. The whole internet is surrounded with the leaks regarding this upcoming character, and it seems Marvel Rivals fans are up for a huge treat.
Expected release date of Ultron in Marvel Rivals
As of now there has been no official confirmation regarding Ultron’s arrival in the game. But if we follow the trend of the previous mid season update, which happened after around one and half months after Season 1 got launched, then we might see this AI-based maniac bot surfacing in the game in the last week of May, 2025.
Ultron leaked abilities
Again, NetEase Games hasn’t yet confirmed anything about the abilities of Ultron. But according to credible Marvel Rivals leaker @RivalLeaks, we have already got a fair idea what’s in the bag of Ultron.
As per leaks, Ultron is going to be a Strategist. And the abilities of this Strategist are majorly focused on healing. Not only that, Ultron is probably going to be the first character in his category to have the ability to fly. Here are the leaked abilities:
Normal Abilities
Dynamic Flight: Entering a free-flight mode before flying quickly in the direction of movement.
Imperative: Patch: Assigning a drone to a particular ally to heal. Rest of the allies will also be healed if they are in its radius. The assigned ally will get an extra healing boost.
Imperative: Firewall: Commanding a drone to grant health boost to the allies in a specific radius collectively. The drone will be centered to Ultron himself and the allies marked with the previously mentioned ability.
Passive Ability
Algorithm Correction: Upon holding space, Ultron will fall slowly.
Ultimate Ability
Rage of Ultron: Summoning drones to fire Encephalo Rays which will damage enemies and heal his allies.
How to play Ultron in Marvel RivalsAfter looking at the abilities of Ultron, it’s a no-brainer that this mechanical bot is going to be the backbone of any team. Just like Iron Man, Ultron will dash and fly around for some early picks.
After the damage is done, he can then support his Dualists with his drones which don’t make them vulnerable anymore against the opponent team anymore because of the healing effects. He can also pair up with his creator Tony Stark aka Iron Man for some breathtaking team-up abilities. These are all speculations and all our eyes will be on Season 2.5.
