Mumbai: Mumbai’ seasoned allrounder Ravindra Sante will lead India's pan disability team in the seven-match T20 International series against England, scheduled to be held at premier venues across England from June 15 to July 3.
This series is a historic first marking the debut of a pan-disability Indian cricket team on the international stage. The squad brings together athletes from diverse disability backgrounds, unified under one banner to represent the tricolour. Conducted in partnership with the England & Wales Cricket Board (ECB), this initiative marks a major milestone in the pursuit of inclusive and accessible sports.

“The Differently-abled Cricket Council of India ( DCCI ) remains committed to this series is not only about competition—it is about empowerment, representation, and global recognition. Our players will take the field not only as athletes, but as ambassadors of resilience and unity,” said Ravi Chauhan, Gen Secretary, DCCI.
“I hope the BCCI supports our team in the same way that the England & Wales Cricket Board supports their pan disability team,” Chauhan added.
In a landmark move, select matches will be staged as double-headers alongside marquee fixtures from England’s mainstream cricket calendar. The match on 1 July, at Bristol, will share the day and venue with the England Women vs India Women international and will be broadcast live on Sky Sports.
“This series is about redefining possibilities. Playing at Lord’s – the Home of Cricket – is a cherished dream for any player. For our athletes, it is a milestone of pride and history in the making,” Chauhan said.
Abhai Pratap Singh, Joint Secretary, DCCI, said, “This is not just a team — it is a movement. These athletes stand as role models, proving what inclusion, determination, and teamwork can achieve.”
Sumit Jain, Vice-President, DCCI said, “This squad embodies the dreams of millions. Their journey is one of courage, purpose, and vision. We believe they will make India proud.”
Rohit Jhalani, head coach of the side said, “This team competes with the same passion and focus as any elite cricket squad. Their commitment is inspirational—they are ready for the world stage.”
The team will undergo a training camp in Jaipur from 7th to 14th June. The camp will focus on physical conditioning, team cohesion, and strategic preparations ahead of the England series.
