The Football Association has released new figures showing that Premier League clubs spent a staggering £409.1 million ($515.5 million) on agent fees between 2 February 2024 and 3 February 2025. This marks a slight decrease from last year’s total of £409.5 million ($516.6 million). The report highlights the increasing financial influence of agents, who are responsible for facilitating transfers, negotiating contracts, and other essential services in football.
Chelsea once again led the way in agent spending, shelling out £60.3 million ($76.1 million), despite a reduction from the previous year’s figure of £75 million ($94.5 million). Other notable spenders in the top five included Aston Villa (£25.1 million / $31.6 million) and Newcastle United (£24.4 million / $30.7 million). The lowest spenders were Ipswich Town, who spent just £6.3 million ($7.9 million), across a period in which they were promoted to the Premier League.
In the Women's Super League, Chelsea again came out on top, spending £622,604 ($784,673), almost triple the £288,628 ($363,116) spent by Manchester City. The total agent fees for the 12 WSL clubs amounted to £2.1 million ($2.65 million).
