Fujifilm has expanded its portfolio in India with the launch of the X-E5 mirrorless digital camera. The latest model promises high-quality images and comes in a compact, lightweight design. The X-E5 is the newest addition to the X Series and incorporates several advanced features designed to make it suitable for a wide range of shooting conditions. The camera weighs approximately 445 grams and features a 40.2 MP X-Trans CMOS 5 HR sensor and the X-Processor 5 high-speed image processing engine. A key feature of the X-E5 is the inclusion of a powerful five-axis In-Body Image Stabilisation (IBIS) mechanism, which is a first for the camera series, that provides up to 7.0 stops of stabilisation in the centre and 6.0 stops at the periphery.
The X-E5 retains the classic style of the X series while introducing design refinements, including a top plate crafted entirely from machined aluminium. This construction is designed to deliver a smooth metallic texture and a high sense of rigidity. The camera also includes a new “Classic Display” mode, which offers a clean viewfinder image with key information positioned at the bottom of the frame, enhancing the shooting experience for users who prefer to operate the camera with their eye to the viewfinder.
Fujifilm X-E5: Price and other details
The camera body is priced at Rs 1,59,999. The price includes the battery and memory card. X-Trans is a trademark or registered trademark of Fujifilm, and its performance specifications are based on CIPA 2024 standards, with yaw/pitch/roll correction measured when equipped with the FUJINON XF35mmF1.4 R lens (sold separately). Certain features are only available on the EVF .
