Samsung has officially rolled out the One UI 8 beta program for Galaxy S25, S25+, and S25 Ultra devices in the United States, United Kingdom, Germany, and South Korea. The beta, based on Android 16, represents Samsung's latest software evolution and introduces enhanced AI capabilities ahead of the full launch expected this summer alongside new foldable devices.

What are the new features in One UI 8 beta for Galaxy S25
The beta update, weighing over 3GB, brings multimodal AI improvements that enable more natural interactions with Samsung's Galaxy AI features.

One UI 8 introduces Auracast support, a Bluetooth LE Audio technology that allows multiple devices like Galaxy Buds 3 and hearing aids to connect to shared audio streams through simple QR code scanning. The update also streamlines Quick Share functionality , enabling instant file transfers with a single tap from the Quick Settings panel.

The Reminder app receives a significant overhaul with improved organization capabilities, voice-enabled input, and easier sharing options for collaborative task management. Samsung has also enhanced customer service experiences with QR and NFC-enabled support at repair centers, reducing wait times and simplifying registration processes.

One UI 8 complete roll out plan
Galaxy S25 series owners in eligible countries can join the beta program through the Samsung Members app by signing in with their Samsung account. The company emphasizes that participants should expect bugs and experimental features as part of the testing process.

Samsung indicates this launch marks a "new rhythm for software evolution," suggesting more frequent major updates. The full One UI 8 release is scheduled for summer 2025, coinciding with the anticipated launch of the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Galaxy Z Flip 7. This timeline aligns Samsung's update schedule more closely with Google's Android release cycle, with Android 16 expected to launch officially in June following its own beta testing phase.
