Jaipur: Five members of a Lucknow family, including a six-month-old girl, were killed when their car collided head-on with a truck near Jamwa Ramgarh in Jaipur district on Sunday morning. The family was on their way to Khatu Shyam temple in Sikar.
Satya Prakash (60), his wife Rama Devi (55), their son Abhishek (35), who was at the wheel, daughter-in-law Priyanshi (30), and their infant granddaughter died on the spot, DIG Anand Sharma said.
"The front of the car was crumpled beyond recognition. Rescue teams struggled for hours to extricate the bodies from the wreckage. The truck overturned. We are examining all angles, including possibility of overtaking," police said. TNN
