Poll authorities in Delhi have issued a notice to Congress leader Pawan Khera ’s wife, Kota Neelima , for allegedly being enrolled in two different constituencies.
The notice, shared by the electoral registration officer (ERO) of New Delhi assembly constituency on X, stated that Neelima was registered as a voter both in New Delhi and in Khairtabad, Telangana.
“It has been brought to my notice that you have got your name registered in the electoral roll of more than one constituency", the notice read.
The notice directed Neelima to submit her response by 11 am on September 10.
The development came two days after Khera himself was served a notice by the New Delhi electoral registration officer for being enrolled in both New Delhi and Jangpura constituencies under separate EPIC numbers.
Responding to the notice against him, Khera hit out at the Election Commission, accusing it of functioning “to support the ruling regime.” He questioned why no action had been taken over allegations of one lakh fake voters in Karnataka’s Mahadevapura constituency despite complaints from the opposition.
The BJP had alleged Pawan Khera's wife Neelima also holds two active voter ID cards, accusing the Congress leadership of overlooking “criminality within its own ranks.”
