NEW DELHI: A flat tyre delayed IndiGo’s Jabalpur-Mumbai flight (6E 792) by over four hours on Monday. The Airbus A320 (VT-IFS) had flown into Jabalpur from Mumbai as 6E 791. During a walk around of the aircraft before operating the next flight on it, the crew observed a tyre with low air pressure.
“Not taking any chances, it was decided to replace the same. A spare tyre was flown into Jabalpur from Delhi and the same was changed. Due to this, 6E 792 took off at 5.12 pm instead of the usual departure time of 12.35 pm,” said sources.
But not all passengers supposed to fly 6E 792 faced this delay, as many of them were flown to their destination via Mumbai and Bengaluru on other IndiGo flights.
