Ahmedabad: The IPL second qualifier match between Punjab Kings and Mumbai Indians at the Narendra Modi Stadium on Sunday has been disrupted by rain.
Following an eight-wicket thrashing by Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) in a one-sided Qualifier 1 match, Punjab Kings are facing Mumbai Indians, who stunned Gujarat Titans in the Eliminator.
This highly anticipated clash has kept fans on edge, as the winner will face RCB in the final on Tuesday at the same venue. Consequently, this match has also heightened excitement among RCB fans.
Punjab Kings won the toss and opted to field. However, at the scheduled start time of 7:30 PM, heavy rain began pouring, accompanied by strong winds. Players have left the dugout for the dressing rooms, though some remain in the dugout.
What Happens if the Match is Cancelled?
If the match is abandoned due to rain, Punjab Kings, with 19 points as the table-toppers, will advance to the final.
