Bhopal: A speeding unidentified vehicle hit a bike-borne policeman in the Parwalia locality on April 5, while he was returning after visiting a relative. Due to the collision, the bike rammed into a pole, and he sustained severe injuries. He was rushed to a hospital, where he died while undergoing treatment on Friday. Acting on information, Parwalia police registered a case against the unidentified errant vehicle and started investigations.
Parwalia SHO Rohit Nagar said that the deceased, Anandi Lal, 38, a resident of Nehru Nagar Police Line, was a driver in the MT Branch of the police. He went to visit a relative on April 5. At night, around 11 pm, while he was returning home on his bike, an unidentified vehicle hit him and fled the spot. He was thrown onto a pole beside the road and sustained severe injuries. He was rushed to a hospital, where he died while undergoing treatment on Friday night. Further investigations are ongoing.
